Upright is built by Upright Labs LLC, based in Washington, DC and led by David Engle and Jackson Geller.
Jackson built his first computer at the age of 12. David at the age of 14 launched a not-for-profit program that brought free events to thousands of underprivileged children. Together, they sold their last software company, Masquerade, to a venture capital backed e-commerce marketplace.
Upright Labs works with Goodwills to supercharge their e-commerce operations. They build software that decreases the amount of time it takes to list items online. Their debut product decreases the average amount of time to list on shopgoodwill by up to 90% with better accuracy, and less mistakes.
Upright Labs team members have worked with numerous partners in the secondhand industry: Goodwill of Southern and Central Indiana, Goodwill of Greater Washington, Ebay, Community Recycling, Tranclo, Midwest Textile, and many more.
