the books platform rebuild

Cordance is 100% invested in the rebuild of our books platform; though the incident was unplanned it gave us the opportunity to fast track our rebuild roadmap. The upgraded stability and security of our product is the immediate driver to provide a scalable solution for our customers.

We’re rebuilding the Books platform on the reliable Upright Lister system,  providing a proven infrastructure, hosted on AWS. This means 99.9% uptime, enterprise-grade security, and infrastructure trusted by leading secondhand retailers. Backed by a strategic investment from Cordance, the platform is being designed to not just meet today’s reliability expectations—but to exceed them well into the future.

No. A conversion plan will be created per customer once the new product is ready for release.

The new Books platform is being designed to support the full spectrum of booksellers—from independent resellers to high-volume operators. By combining modern technology with flexible features, we’re creating a single, scalable solution that meets the evolving needs of sellers at every stage of growth.

MVP (Minimum Viable Product) is expected August–September 2025, with feature releases continuing into 2026.

The new platform will be hosted on AWS—the same infrastructure that powers Upright Lister with its impressive 99.9% uptime record. This major investment, fully backed by Cordance, will deliver significantly enhanced stability and reliability, improved performance and responsiveness, and enterprise-grade security systems

Not initially. The initial release will have a limited amount of features, marketplaces; such as ability to scan books. The platform will continue to be developed to full scale throughout 2025 and 2026.

Initial release will have core feature functions; Acceptance, Listing, Repricing, Inventory, Order Processing followed by advanced features throughout 2025-2026

This will depend on each customer and their specific needs due to features for their business and what is supported.

We understand the frustrations that Neatoscan users faced, and we’ve taken that feedback seriously. Rather than patching the old system, we’ve rebuilt the Books platform entirely into Upright Lister. This combines the trusted performance of Upright Lister with updated tools tailored for bookselling. This isn’t a return to what was. It’s a leap forward. With a modern interface, improved uptime, better support, and a roadmap focused on your success, the new Books platform is designed to earn back your trust and help you grow.

“It's about raising the bar for what secondhand software can be. By listening closely to our partners and backing these needs with real investment, we're building something to shape the future of resale."
