The 2024 ShopGoodwill E-Summit brought together over 200 attendees to Indianapolis for a remarkable conference in September. This event marked a significant milestone as ShopGoodwill celebrates 25 years of innovating with purpose, while connecting buyers and sellers on the online marketplace. With sellers, vendors, and thought leaders from the reselling community under one roof, we were all eager to share insights and explore the latest developments in e-commerce.
Upright Labs was thrilled to exhibit as a sponsor to further our ongoing support for ShopGoodwill and Goodwill organizations across the country. Our team members—Drew Purcell, Account Manager; Kevin Martin, Director of Account Management; and Hannah Forton, Marketing Coordinator—were on-site, ready to connect with clients and attendees who use our software solutions, along with meeting new faces and introducing our offerings to them. As we mingled with fellow sellers and listened to ShopGoodwill’s team unveil their exciting upcoming projects, it was clear that this event was about more than just learning; it was about building a vibrant and impactful community.
From engaging vendor presentations and breakout sessions to a tour of Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana’s e-commerce facility, the summit was rich with valuable experiences. Attendees left with fresh perspectives and strategies to boost their businesses in an ever-evolving marketplace, as well as stronger connections through the endless networking opportunities.
We’ll unpack our top three takeaways from the event, featuring insights from our team members in attendance. Whether you missed the summit or are eager to enhance your own e-commerce approach, these key points will offer influential ideas that you won’t want to overlook. Let’s dive in!

Goodwill of Central and Southern Indiana’s e-commerce facility tour was a personal highlight for myself, Hannah, because we got to see one of our Goodwill partners in-action! This hands-on experience allowed me to witness the bustling environment of a well-organized warehouse, where employees were actively engaged in various e-commerce workflows. Observing the efficiency and organization firsthand offered valuable insights into best practices for operational excellence.
